But alas, here we are.

As a special surprise to the three finalist couples, they got to sit back and relax while their old friends – Taylor, Hannah, Steph, Mimi, Zane, Dylan and Sophie – returned to answer some sticky questions about what's been happening outside the Villa.

VOTE: Vote for the winner of Love Island Australia 2024

The rules are simple – ring the bell to answer 'yes' and honk the horn to answer 'no'.

First up on the Truth Bike was Hannah, who for one was not pleased to be riding the bike hungover.

Bestie Kaylah asked the question that everyone had on their minds - had Hannah and Taylor done the deed since living the Villa?

It was a resounding 'yes' from Hannah and she confirmed it was "well worth the wait".

The X-rated confession left Taylor feeling a little bashful but the pair admitted that they were "feeling closer than ever".

Who's that on the bike? Oh, it's Zane. We barely recognised him without his signature moustache.

The Islanders did not approve of his clean-shaven look but lucky for Zane, his nan did.

Things soon got complicated as Mimi asked: "Was there another girl on your mind in the Villa?"

Zane confirmed there was a girl outside the Villa who he'd been thinking about since the start.

"She was also in Spain but she flew home the day I was coming in so it had me thinking 'What would happen if I was at home?'

"That's why it made it hard for me to open up and made things very confusing."

Mimi and her partner Steph narrowly missed out on a place in the Grand Finale after they were voted off as the least authentic couple by their co-stars.

Mia wondered how Mimi was feeling about the decision days later and queried: "Do you think you and Steph deserve to be in the final?"

"Yep, 1000 per cent," Mimi said with conviction.

Mimi continued: "I do believe every person here deserves to be in the final however I'm gonna be real, me and Steph have had the longest connection here in the Villa.

"We've been 100 per cent authentic which I don't think some people have been."

Mia could sense Mimi was feeling stung.

"You can clearly see how cut they are that they got voted out for clout," Mia said later to cameras.

"We all had our reasons for our vote and I stand by it."

Mercedes and Steph teamed up to stir the pot, posing this question: "Should Dylan have taken the $20,000 and walked away from Sophie?"

Steph's opinion was that Dylan should have "100 per cent" taken the $20,000, explaining that he felt Sophie had "disappointed" Dylan too many times.

That was only the precursor of all the Sophie and Dylan drama to come on the Truth Bike.

We could feel the tension between Sophie and Dylan and it turns out there was a reason for it - the pair had an argument during a night out clubbing.

And we're sure you can guess the reason for the fight. Yep, Zane.

Sophie explained that with the club packed full of people everyone linked arms to make sure they didn't lose each other in the crowd.

"Because I grabbed Zane's hand Dylan felt jealous and thought I still had feelings for Zane," she said.

Despite Sophie saying time and time again she has no feelings for Zane, Dylan couldn't help but have his suspicions.

"It sounds crazy but when Zane was talking about his love life outside the Villa your body language switched up," Dylan said.

Sophie was struggling to see what she could do to gain Dylan's trust and she had the girls' support after the Truth Bike left her and Dylan's relationship in tatters yet again.

"I do feel really bad for Soph. I can tell she's really upset and I just want to give her a hug," Em said.

While Kayla added: "Poor Soph just looks so over it. Not only is she hungover but she's just so over this chaos and drama and I feel for her."
