The eight-time Wimbledon champion took on Her Royal Highness in a spirited mixed doubles scrimmage ahead of the 2023 Championships.

“At the Australian Open, you’re allowed to catch it [out of the air],” Federer points out after a tremendous catch from the princess.

“Here, you’re meant to let it bounce,” explains Mollie, one of the ball girls teaching HRH the proper ball toss.

“The first game’s very nerve-wracking,” adds another ball boy of the pressure to perform on Centre Court. “But after a while you get used to it.”
