Police have revoked the earlier emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act following a fire at Woolloongabba yesterday, September 25.

There is no ongoing threat to nearby properties and the surrounding roads have been reopened.

EARLIER: Police have made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) due to an ongoing incident in Woolloongabba.

Police attended a Hubert Street address today about 4.30pm in response to a building fire.

The PSPA was declared about 5.10pm with the exclusion zone including Gibbon Street, Stanley Street, Raid Street and Hawthorne Street

Members of the public are advised to avoid the area and those within the exclusion zone are asked to remain indoors until further notice.
