First half snapshotFrom Andrew Stafford at the Gabba:
The Lions have dominated clearances this quarter 11–2 and that’s why the ball has lived in the home side’s half of the ground. Lachie Neale has been critical, with six of them on top of 18 possessions, while Zorko has brought his own ball and has 20 touches.
It’s been notable how much they’ve forced the Magpies wide — the lightning-fast charge through the middle of the ground which we’ve become used to over the last two years has been denied them.
The Magpies are still two points up, but the momentum is well and truly with the Lions at half-time.

SnapshotFrom Andrew Stafford at the Gabba:
That goal by Lachie Neale was vital for the Lions, and he knows it. He’s turned to the members and pumped them up.
The Lions had been camped in their forward half so far this quarter and needed to break through. Nick Daicos is still at half-back for Collingwood, where he started his already remarkable career. It’ll be interesting to see if coach Craig McRae moves him up the ground if he needs to break glass.
