Payday at Royal Greens

It’s last-call time for LIV Golf members looking to capture the league’s season-ending points title and the $18 million bonus that comes with finishing first. This week’s LIV Golf tournament at Royal Greens G.& C.C. in Saudi Arabia is the last on the 2023 calendar before next week’s season-ending team championship in Miami.

Entering the week, Cameron Smith (170), Talor Gooch (162) and Bryson DeChambeau (146) are the top three players in the points standings and the only golfers who can finish first. Smith and Gooch lock up the season-long title with a win and its accompanying 40 points (second place gets you 30). DeChambeau needs a win and a little help from the others.

“I think that's kind of the mindset every week is to come here to win, so I don't think it's really any different to any other week,” Smith said. “For sure there's a little bit more up for grabs this week. You have to acknowledge that and really get on your toes and just try and go out there and win the tournament. I think it's the same as every other week. But more to play for.”

Second and third place also come with bonus amounts of $8 million and $4 million.

Of course the tournament offers its own handsome prize money payouts in the no-cut, 54-hole event: a $20 million individual purse, with $4 million going to the winner. There’s also $5 million on the line in the team competition.

Here’s the prize money payout for the field. Come back after the tournament and we’ll update the post with names and individual paydays.
