Collingwood great Nathan Buckley has auctioned a jumper for $16,000 as part of a bitter divorce battle that has forced him to sell memorabilia from his football career.

The great separated from his wife Tania in 2020, with his entire catalog of AFL mementos ending up as part of the settlement.

The hundreds of items are estimated to be worth more than $100,000.

Some of the memorabilia was up for auction today in Armadale in Melbourne, with several fans and collectors wanting a piece.

One of the items up for sale was Buckley's framed jumper from the 2002 Grand Final which sold for $16,000.

There were also souvenirs from his football days in South Australia, the Northern Territory and his first AFL club: the Brisbane Bears.
