In a landmark achievement for the local community, the nib Newcastle Knights are thrilled to announce that our partnership with the 50-50 Charity Raffle has raised over half a million dollars for local charities.

The $500,000 milestone was smashed just hours before last week's victory over the Gold Coast, breaking our regular season fundraising record with one game still to play.

These funds have had a direct impact, providing essential support to organisations like the Mark Hughes Foundation and Ronald McDonald House Charities. Among the 13 beneficiaries this season, these organisations have received critical funds to support those in need.

“Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern NSW are so grateful to the Newcastle Knights and 50-50 Charity Raffle, with the vital funds received providing accommodation for families with a sick or injured child at a time they need it most,” RMH Community Engagement Coordinator Kerryn Scully said.

Being a longstanding community partner with a deep connection to the Club, Mark Hughes Foundation Events and Partnerships Manager Kris Buderus also emphasised the importance of these contributions.

“Our MHF volunteers look forward to the 50-50 charity raffle during the NRL Beanie Round each year, to engage with the fans and raise much needed funds for brain cancer research and patient support in our community,” Buderus said.

Since joining forces with the Knights in 2020, the 50-50 Charity Raffle has become a vital contributor to local causes.

At each raffle, 50% of the prize pool goes to one lucky ticket holder, while the remaining 50% is donated directly to charitable purposes.

Over the past five seasons, the Knights have partnered with 56 charitable causes, helping to raise both awareness and essential funds for their missions.
