Aussie WWE star Rhea Ripley has made more history, winning the SmackDown women’s world championship on night one of WrestleMania 39.

Ripley took down Charlotte Flair at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium to claim the blue brand’s belt for the first time.

It followed the 26-year-old winning the Raw women’s title at WrestleMania two years ago when she defeated Asuka.

And the win wasn’t the only big moment for Australian pro wrestling on Sunday with Melbourne’s Indi Hartwell winning the NXT women’s championship, the top title in WWE’s developmental league.

On the same show Sydney’s Grayson Waller fell in an epic unsanctioned match against Johnny Gargano.

WrestleMania was an incredible spectacle as always with Logan Paul creating more headlines in his match with Seth Rollins.

Paul entered on a zip line and at one point was saved by good mate KSI, who was wearing a costume for their drink brand Prime.

But Paul accidentally splashed KSI through a table later in the match as Rollins claimed victory.
