Rita Ora Is Serving Fashion Witch at The Met Gala

Fifty Shades of Grey actor Rita Ora arrived at the 2023 Met Gala in a witchy and bewitching gown that makes us feel incredibly October given that it's May. Is she vying for a part on her beau Taika Waititi's What We Do in the Shadows? Very much still in her boudoir fashion era. It's not not lingerie.

Ora's Prabal Gurung gown for the event plays with sheer and with layers, two elements she's been wearing a lot lately, but it's the nails and train that really stand out. Her long black…cloak? Cape? Scarf? covered nearly the length of the blue, white, and red carpet, creating a dramatic silhouette and, frankly, giving her a moment to get all camera lenses on her.

Equally decadent were the jewels literally dripping from her fingertips, as glittering ropes cascaded from her nails. Okay but like, how's she gonna eat dinner inside?

Ora reflected on the night's theme—"Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty"—on Instagram, sharing two posts in honor of the late designer. In the first, she and Lagerfeld pose together at various events, she walks the runway in a silver ensemble, and wears his designs for Chanel in various shoots.

In the second photo roundup, seemingly taken recently (peep the nails), Ora plays around in an old costume made by Karl himself. "In memory of Karl I had to bring back this custom piece he made me for a Chanel show performance I did with him in Monaco back in 2013. See you tomorrow!!" the singer wrote.

She loves sheer. She loves mesh. She loves sheer! Really, she loves sheer. For Rita Ora, tights > pants.

It's not that this doesn't go with the theme—the flowers and the black are totally Lagerfeldian—but anyone else think this is what she would have worn no matter what?
