It’s been over three years since the Shazamily first made their debut in 2019’s Shazam, but after what felt like an endless wait our favorite family of heroes is back and gearing up to face what might be their most challenging battle yet!

In the highly anticipated sequel to 2019’s sleeper hit, Bily Batson and his newfound family of fellow foster kids are still adjusting to juggling life as kids with having adult Super Hero alter-egos. As if adjusting to these new powers wasn’t enough to keep them busy, the Shazam family are thrust into battle against the Daughters of Atlas who threaten their lives, superpowers, and the fate of the world!

If you’re planning on heading out to see Shazam! Fury of the Gods in movie theaters, here’s how long you can expect it to be.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods features a runtime of 2 hours and 10 minutes, which is on par with the standard runtime of most superhero films these days. Now, if you’re heading out to see the film in theaters and are trying to figure out how much time you might be in the actual theater, we’d tack on about another 15-20 minutes as there are typically a lot of trailers before films actually begin.

In comparison to the first Shazam! film released in 2019, the two films have an almost identical runtime as the first film had a runtime of 2 hours and 12 minutes. The sequel’s runtime is also longer than that of the runtime of DC’s most recent film, Black Adam, which had a runtime of 2 hours and 5 minutes. However, it’s well under the runtime of DC’s March 2022 release, The Batman, which came in at nearly three hours long!
