Disney on Ice is primed to make its return to the Alamodome this spring. The show is bringing in Disney heavy hitters Frozen and Encanto to disperse some of the storytelling, skating magic to audiences in San Antonio.

While Encanto has been singing its way into Disney-lovers hearts for almost two years, this is the first time audiences will see the characters from the beloved film on the ice. During the show's second act, audiences will witness Mirabel, and sisters Isabela and Luisa, twirl to life under the colorful light installation that mimics the vibrant hues of the character's costumes, along with the upbeat dance numbers inspired by Cumbia and other dances embedded in Colombian culture, according to the Disney on Ice: Frozen & Encanto website.

Before the show gives way to the second act, where no one is supposed to talk about Bruno but they do it anyway, show goers will be enthralled with Elsa and her sister, Anna, in the Disney story about sisterhood. Frozen's chilly setting makes the film a perfect choice to adapt for the ice, and the movie's themes of sisterhood and family align with those of Encanto, giving the show a fitting way to tie the two tales together.

To bring the show to life, production makers sought to compare and contrast the settings, tones, and visuals to tell a cohesive story. Frozen will remain an icy wonderland of blue and white filled with aerial acrobatics, while Encanto charms audiences with high-flying stunts in bright purples and blues, accompanied by songs that will have show goers dancing in their seats.

Disney fanatics and ice skating fiends can catch the sisters of Frozen and Encanto when Disney on Ice: Frozen and Encanto comes to the Alamodome from March 30 through April 2. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster.
