Three weeks to the day after being hospitalized for what’s being described only as “a medical complication,” Jamie Foxx has broken his silence.

“Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed” the 55-year-old actor wrote on Instagram Wednesday alongside the prayer hands, heart, and—naturally—fox emojis. Well wishes quickly flooded Foxx’s comment section, with words of support coming from stars like Mahershala Ali, Ludacris, Mary J. Blige, and Kenan Thompson, who commented, “Yesssss!!!! Take all the time you need bro!!!!”

Over on his Instagram Story, Foxx thanked Nick Cannon for taking over hosting duties on his Fox game show, Beat Shazam, as he recovers, writing, “Appreciate ya my boy @nickcannon see u all soon.” For his part, Cannon reposted Foxx’s message to his own Instagram Story, adding, “This is your house big bro!! I’m nothing without you!! I love you!!”

The show’s official Instagram posted a message outlining plans for the upcoming sixth season, which was set to go into production days after Foxx’s incident. “This season, not wanting fans of the game show to miss a minute of the fun, Nick Cannon has offered to fill in as guest host for his friends, Jamie and Corinne Foxx,” the statement began, referring to Foxx’s 29-year-old daughter and cohost. “Kelly Osbourne will be filling in as guest DJ. Everyone at FOX Entertainment wishes Jamie well as he continues his recovery, and we greatly appreciate Nick’s willingness to jump in and help this summer.”

It was Corrine Foxx who initially shared news of Foxx’s emergency in an April 12 Instagram post post. “We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery,” reads the post on behalf of the Foxx family. “We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”

At the time of the undisclosed medical complication, Foxx was in Atlanta shooting the feature film Back in Action, a Netflix comedy starring Foxx and his Annie costar Cameron Diaz (in her first feature film role in almost 10 years). Hours before Foxx posted his return message, TMZ reported that sources close to Foxx reiterated the same sentiment: “Pray for Jamie.”
