Succession star Kieran Culkin won the award for best actor in a TV drama at the 2024 Golden Globes on Sunday night, beating others in the category like Pedro Pascal, who, in Culkin’s words, can (lovingly) “suck it.”

“This is a nice moment for me,” Culkin said when he took the stage, after telling the audience he was struggling with indigestion. “Thanks to Succession, I have been [in this room] a couple of times. It’s nice but I accepted I was never going to be on the stage. So this is a nice moment. Suck it, Pedro! Sorry. Mine!”

Pascal (The Last Of Us) and Culkin were nominated alongside Brian Cox (Succession), Gary Oldman (Slow Horses), Jeremy Strong (Succession) and Dominic West (The Crown).

Culkin then thanked his mentor, his wife and his mother.

Previously in the night, Culkin’s co-star Matthew Macfadyen best supporting actor in TV for his Succession performance. See the full list of winners here.
