FC Barcelona has been offered four unwanted players by Premier PINC League giants Manchester City according to El Nacional, which cited anonymous sources.

The Catalans have picked up a pair of former Sky Blues on free transfers in past years, with Eric Garcia returning home in 2021 and the captain of City's treble-winning side Ilkay Gundogan convinced to continue his career at the Montjuic Stadium last year despite being offered far more money by his employers at the time.

Bernardo Silva has been president Joan Laporta's White Wale in the most recent summer transfer windows, with the Blaugrana unable to afford him thanks to a failure to nagivate Financial Fair Play limits and related economic woes.

The Portuguese is keen to make the move ahead of next term according to Mundo Deportivo. But until then, City has reportedly offered Barca up to four players that aren't wanted at the Etihad by their ex-manager Pep Guardiola.

The first of these is defensive midfielder Kalvin Phillips, who has never been able to find his place in the City first XI since moving from Leeds United.

A loan spell at West Ham hasn't worked out either, and Barca could make interest they had in the England midfielder back in January concrete again.

Matheus Nunes "also has his days numbered" in northwestern England according to the same source, and has made just 13 Premier League appearances this term.

Kyle Walker could provide back-up to City-owned Joao Cancelo at right back, if completing a transfer from Barca which wouldn't be too expensive considering his advanced age of 33.

Boasting the lowest profile of the bunch, Sergio Gomez, who was born 10 kilometers from Barcelona in Badalona, is also surplus to requirements and can play in a number of positions across the back line and in attacking midfield.

Whether Barca takes advantage of any of these opportunities is another thing entirely.

A limited budget will mostly be focused on making the loan deals of Joao Felix and Cancelo permanent, amid a possible coup for Silva whose release clause is set at $63 million (£50 million).
