Families enjoy breakfast with the Easter Bunny in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, New York (WWNY) - On Sunday morning, kids got to spend some quality time with the Easter Bunny.

The Philadelphia American Legion hosted its annual Easter Bunny Breakfast for the children of legion members.

Not only were kids able to enjoy pancakes, eggs, and bacon for breakfast, but they also had fun with the Easter Bunny.

Those with the American Legion say Easter is a great way to bring families together.

“It’s a family function, we always try to do things across the board as a family for the Legion, between the Auxiliary, the Sons, the Legionnaires, the Riders. Some kids are a little spooked by the Easter Bunny, some enjoy him and give him a big hug and welcome,” said Melissa Saffin, Philadelphia American Legion Auxiliary President.

The legion also hosted an easter egg hunt with prizes for the kids.
