The CBX, a 390-foot bridge spanning the US-Mexico border that exclusively serves passengers traveling through the rapidly-growing Tijuana International Airport, will now be able to expand its passenger load. Latitude 33 Planning & Engineering and The Cross Border Express (CBX) are celebrating the opening of the 1,900-stall Otay Tijuana North Parking Lot serving CBX passengers in San Diego, CA.

The lot provides secured parking, shuttle service, accessible spaces and pedestrian routes. Latitude 33, which was also a development partner for CBX’s $100 million passenger processing facility, was involved throughout the parking lot’s planning, design and construction. “Latitude 33 is honored to continue partnering with CBX in creating the infrastructure needed to support the border region’s remarkable regional growth,” commented Latitude 33 Principal Engineer Nick Psyhogios.

Future expansion plans for the 60-acre CBX area include two hotel pads plus commercial, office, industrial and shipping facilities over a 10-year project build-out.
