“How is Matt doing in the new position on ‘Sunrise’? I want a report card,” Sonia told Nat as Shirvo watched on, eager to hear her reply.

“What do you think? I think everyone loves him. They already know his name and now they love him.”

“Is he a morning person?” Sonia asked.

“He is,” Nat replied. “Well, look at what he’s got.”

Shirvo then pulled out his “secret weapon,” eye drops, out of his pocket.

“I don’t know how much sleep we are going to get tonight right, so the assumption is we will probably have to go all the way through (the night) right?” he said.

“I have eye drops to get rid of the red,” he said.

Also appearing on the red carpet were fellow Sunrise stars Edwina Bartholomew, Sam Mac and Mark Beretta.

Eddy revealed the “most unusual message” she has received on social media, after she was given the task of selecting a random question from a bowl by 7Life reporter Georgie Kearney.

“What’s the most unusual message you’ve received on social media?” the question asked.

The beloved star got candid with her response.

“I get it quite frequently from this guy called Daniel — hi to you Daniel,” Eddy responded.

“That when I smile, I scrunch my nose like a rabbit,” the star continued, giving the camera a demonstration for good measure.

“You know what. I’ve got a few words for you, Daniel, and I can’t mention them here,” she quipped.
