Here are a few of the most exciting acts from where we stand:

There's nothing we can say about Lizzo that we haven't already. If you haven't seen her, you must see her. Splendour has never had a headliner this positive, and she's gonna make us all feel like we're floating by the end of her set.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs were a late withdrawal from the 2022 Splendour line-up, though the day they were due to play ended up not going ahead anyway. It's so exciting that we can finally welcome this game-changing New York trio back to Australia for what will be their first visit since they played the Big Day Out over a decade ago.

IDLES sold out enormous venues across the country on their second Australian tour at the end of last year. It's no surprise that these British titans of heavy rock and big feelings have wasted no time in returning, and we're already excited about the big vibes they'll bring to this musical communion.

A set from British MC Little Simz is always a treat, and anyone who caught her at Splendour back in 2019 will confirm that she can rock a festival stage with a sense of class and power few others possess. It's always a pleasure to have her in the country and, given she's dropped a couple of ridiculously good records since her last visit, this time we're more excited than ever.

Music fans of all ages can bond over their love of the Hilltop Hoods. The trio have been a dominant force in Australian hip hop forever and continue pumping out quality tracks and high-octane live performances over 25 years on from their formation. They know Splendour well, and will bring a huge party when they swing by this July.

Mumford & Sons have played Splendour a couple of times in the past, with big shows in both 2010 (just after 'Little Lion Man' won the Hottest 100) and 2013. That means their 2023 return to the festival will be their first trip to Splendour in a decade!

The voice of Marlon Williams remains as affecting now as it ever has, and his first appearance at Splendour since 2016 will be a warm reminder of/introduction to his considerable charms.

On her first Australian tour last year, Arlo Parks confirmed what we'd already suspected: she is just as charming and talented on stage as she is on record. Given how brilliant her 2021 debut album Collapsed In Sunbeams was, that is no easy feat. Her return for Splendour is very welcome and given her second LP My Soft Machine will be out next month, it's even better that she's returning with new music.

We've been big fans of Loyle Carner for some time and our love for him only grew after the release of last year's hugo, his arresting third album. Even in a congested London hip hop scene, he's able to stand out with his deeply personal rhymes and sleek production.

Sudan Archives is an incredible musician, composer, and all-round creative tour de force. While she's been an accomplished violinist since she was a very young child, her music sits somewhere in the R&B and hip hop world, and she uses that immense musical talent to create sonic worlds that are completely engaging while sounding like little else.

On the local front, there's plenty of quality on offer.

Big ticket favourites like PNAU, Ball Park Music and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard are on board, as are revered cinematic indie pop new(ish)comers Telenova, long-time curator and creator of smooth vibes Harvey Sutherland, indie rock powerhouse RVG and so, so many more.

Here's that full line-up again:
